Anyone know if Sentech will implement Sim Card use for the units similiar to DSTV, and if so if the unit is stolen, will they be able to block it of their network via the IMEI number

Each modem has a burnt in IMEI, as with cellphones. The IMEI is never on the sim card. The SIM card is for additional user (read PIN) authentication, which Sentech doesn't really require at this point...

Should a modem get stolen, they can blacklist the modem's IMEI regardless. And user authentication is already handled by the PPP authentication, so USIM's would be a waste.

USIM's would become a requirement if there were multiple IPWireless operators, so that your modem would only connect to the approriate service provider, but I think the chances of that happening are zero.
