I have friends who will hopefully be coming back from the US in a few weeks and will hopefully wont mind to bring a cellhpone back for me.

What mid range phones are the best deals I am looking to spend between 4k-5K

I have seen the following phones that look decent

Also just make sure that the frequencies of the model phone you are getting in the US supports vodacom frequencies. https://www.frequencycheck.com/carriers/vodacom-south-africa

You can use GSM arena to check the model information and which frequencies it supports.
