Import Lumia 900 - will it work here?

ok, i have no idea if this has been asked before, but i'm gonna ask anyways.

if i get the Lumia 900 from the UK and bring it here, will it work 100% here or not, i know it supports LTE and we don't have that here yet, but i'm sure it will still work on our coverage (3g, 2g)

does anyone know anything in regards to this?

UK networks use the same technology as the ones here in SA. If the handset is unlocked or SIM-free, it'll work here.

You should try get it from somewhere else - either in Europe proper or the Sub-continent.
The UK is notorious for high retail prices (compared to the rest of Europe).

yeah, but since i have a reilable source (i.e.. family) there, it seems more secure, plus it's still cheaper than buying it here.


BUT i have been thinking maybe i should just get the lumia 800, the only difference i can see is that it is slightly smaller (could be nice, won't take up too much space in the pocket), missing a front facing camera (eerrr i don't really need it) and it doesn't have LTE (well since we don't even use that here, no worries there)


any thoughts in regards to this? 800 or 900 if you had a choice, don't worry about availablity or price, i just want a pure gut choice based on personal opinon.

I have the Lumia 800 ( havnt tested the 900 yet ) and totally love it

The Lumia 900 you want must be the 3G version(Nokia Lumia 900 RM-823) and not the LTE version (AT&T / UK)
