Sites and recommendations?
Prices are too high in South Africa. I was wondering if we can import ourselves.
Thanks
You can definitely import a CPU and a GPU.
The issues are local warranty.
Usually it won't be available. But maybe if you register it on say Asus maybe it will work locally who knows.
You can import yourself.
For example you can use Amazon.com, amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, amazon.co.jp and amazon .fr or de to import items. Some items can be shipped to you directly using courier and you have to pay duty/tax upfront. That's the total you will pay.
For these items Amazon does usually allow 30 days of returns, sometimes for free, so check it the item says, FREE INTERNATIONAL RETURNS.
Here is an item which ships to SA:
It will cost $1949.99 plus $423.05 as shipping, duty and tax. That's all you pay in you import this card.
There are also items on Amazon or other sites which don't ship to SA. There you can use a service like MyUS or AramexGlobalShopper or Buyee and get the item that way. You will need to pay duty/tax to the courier.
Ebay and B&H Photo Video shop some items internationally as well. Sometimes it's with tax prepaid or where you have to pay tax in SA. They may also offer returns but that will usually mean you will need to ship the item back.
