Importing Games - Customs/Duties?

Given the ridiculous price of console games nowadays, who here has imported games? I have, but I haven't done it many years. Play-asia has much more reasonable prices, but would you charged a large amount when receiving the games?
 
There's no duties on games, only VAT. But why in the world would you pay delivery costs from the other side of the planet for something you can just download?
 
Didn't look at digital downloads, but still would be cheaper. Also, would prefer physical copy. For example, Mortal Kombat XL: R1299 on Takealot, R749 on PSN and R287 on Play-asia. Which one would you choose? ;)

That R287 is a special, you're looking at around R500 landed cost in SA if you don't use the Post Office
