Importing games

I was thinking of importing some hard to find PS3 games from the UK. The pricing I have found on some of them seems too good to be true,but I am worried about how much the import fees will be. The government sites on importing do not list digital media like games. I read somewhere that for DVD's there are no import duties and only 14% for VAT must be paid. Is this the same for games? Any help on how to work out the cost involved would be great.

If they charge anything it will only be the VAT, unless it is couriered where you will also pay the courier company a handling fee to clear customs.

Try to keep your packages to three games to avoid customs detection.

I find it hard to understand these sorts of things would that be Gameprice + Vat and then that + 7%?

Guess that would depend on the title and how long its been out for.

Actually a bit more complicated than that. Price + (VAT * 1.1), then add duties * 1.15 to that total. Or you can do the duties first, then VAT. Comes out to the same thing. Don't ask me about why they multiply the values up like that.

(330*1.14)+(330*(7*1.15)%) = 402.77
