So I have a chance for a mate to post me am US IPAD for a cost of R 4800 (shipped)
So what does that mean I will pay import tax and I will still pay VAT right?

This is true - it is a computer so then i just pay VAT on the Declared Value?
How will they calc VAT and when would I pay it - when I pick it up?
