Yup. Over the four or so years of brining stuff back with me each time I went abroad I have never been stopped or even close to being stopped.

Was small electronics, yeah, the person that brought my stuff I think did not declare anything.
I'm not sure when the last time I actually saw a customs agent in the nothing to declare route.

Nope.
I don’t normally declare anything but I also don’t usually bring in a lot of stuff in person.
if it’s electronics it’s usually always for me and I’ll throw out boxes etc and actually use it.
I know SARS keeps threatening us to use that outbound declaration form so they can compare but I’m not touching it unless it prevents me boarding lol.

Just play dumb if you get stopped in the green "Nothing to declare" channel. The worst that will happen is that you'll end up paying the exact same duties that you would have paid if you were stupid enough to go through the red channel.
*Edit: this does not apply to trying to import stuff that is totally illegal like illegal drugs and firearms. Then you're just an idiot.

Ehh nah
