Hey, jets and choppers are a lot of fun to.
Choppers yes. I don't like the Jet idea that much. Sure it might be fun to fly one. But trying to capture a flag and being bombed to shyt is not my way of fun

Kill IO I say! If you want no vehicles play cs or cod4!
+10 I hate that too.
But I have noticed one thing though. If you are revived you don't get death score against your name. They do get a kill score. So even if you are shot dead 20 times in a row and revived 19 times, you would only have died onceAnd the killer would have scored 20 kills.
Knife
The most under rated piece of equipment, the key to using it effectively is to click/stab a metre before you need to. It takes a second to respond. If you get in the zone the knife can be fast and humiliatingly awesome. Practice on Single-player and get used to using it while moving. A lot of people like to crouch or prone just as they stab, it makes you harder to hit if it’s a 1 on 1 knife fight. The thing is on open servers you often pull out you knife vs. some guy with a gun, so another good skill to work on is bunny hopping all over the place getting behind him having a swipe and repeating until one of you dies.
I have my knife on speed dial (bound to my mouse wheel button) so I can whip it out as soon as someone is too close to get a headshot onto. Knifing takes getting used to and can get really frustrating, especially when BF2 fails and you “knife” him 5 times in a row only to see dust coming off his bunny hopping body while he reloads his gun for the 3rd time and kills you!! ARG!!!
I tend to run around with my knife out if I’m in tight places like Jalalabad city areas just because I figure it’s the best chance I have off surviving some Close Quarter Combat (CQC). The pistol is a bit crap for enemies with anything more than 50% health and takes 5-8 shots to kill a 100% healthy enemy. So for that reason I tend to favour the knife unless I’m sure my opponent is bleeding badly.
Snipers often come across oblivious enemies lying on a hill unaware of you… If you dive on them and knife you’ll often “miss” even though you are on top of them… try lying 2 foot away and knifing them from a slight distance- it seems to work better. This way they don’t see you either and if BF fails you can get another swipe in before they realise you are there.
Lesson: Swing early, at distance… think of your knife as a sword! Kill with the tip… (That’s what she said.)
Key Skill: Get your knife out ASAP (get a mouse that you can assign buttons to different keys instead of furiously fumbling to find 1 on your keyboard)
