As a staunch advocate for linux (why yes, I do use arch, thanks for asking!), and having to use flavours of macos, windows and linux daily, I am genuinely impressed with the user experience of the latest versions of windows and office.
Currently on my main laptop I am running windows 11 and office 365 build 2110 (Oct 25) plus teams.
The ability for live colaberation with other users in real time within Word and Project desktop programs is fabulous. It is actually possible to have more than one author work coherently in a single document. The @ mention feature is cross-app (if that even is a real word) and notifies other users inside of their teams/skype messaging.
The commenting feature particularly in word documents actually works now and is real-time.
I'm essentially given the best of both worlds between the colaberationability (if that is a word) of google docs plus the feature-set of word in the desktop program.
Well done Microsoft. Colour me impressed!
