Hi,
I have a 10Mbps Business DSL Package with Afrihost at the moment. When ever I test my line I get the following stats:
ADSL Router Results:
Max sync rate: 10240kbps
Current Downstream Sync: 5088kbps
SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio): 6.1 dB
Attenuation: 31.4 dB
DSLAM Results (Your Location to Telkom Exchange):
Max sync rate: 1024kbps
Current Downstream Sync: 576kbps
SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio): 5.0 dB
Attenuation: 38 dB
Now my question is:
(None of the stuff really makes sense to me)
Why is my current downstream 5088kps and not closer to 10240kps (i mean thats what Im paying for after all)?
How does the low SNR (5.0 dB) impact me negatively?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
