Improved SSD endurance

Just read this article on Tom's. Very interesting and surely something people should consider when getting a new SSD. Always heard people talking about it, never seen an actual test with results.

Sadly it's too late for my vertex 2, it's still much faster than my hard drives but sadly isn't as fast as when I first got it.

As you said though this is good for a new SSD buyer.

As long as a hard drive if not longer due to not having any moving parts. What I was referring to is the performance on my drive since mine in an old generation where you have to look after it, the newer ones are much better and keep their performance up much longer than mine.

I feel a bit cheated though...got me a 90gig ssd...can only install 3 games at a time. But i guess that that is what you get if you want to be cheap.

Hmm ... cool. I'm always telling people how they're adding memory overkill when they frown at 8GB, this might make me think twice.

I run all my games off a separate drive, just the OS on the SSD. Yes I suppose you lose speed but its still insanely fast, its a trade off but even with 250 gig you will have to move stuff on to another drive.
