Hi all,

I was hoping someone could me figure out how to connect my recently purchased TEAC SR100i (http://www.teac.com/consumer_electronics/ipod__&_micro_sound_systems/sr-100i/) to my TV to improve the sound.

I have a 32" Panasonic Viera LCD which I bought in 2009 but does not have an audio out. It has an audio in and all the other AV connections.

It is currently connected to my DVD player but really want it connected to my TV directly.
Thanks

It does not seem the Teac has audio in.
Does is have?
Do you have DStv or only normal arial?
If no DSTV, do you have a VCR?

Yep. the TEAC has an audio out which works great with my DVD player.
I do have DSTV, could I possibly connect the TEAC to my decoder directly (which is quite old)?

Does the TEAC have an audio in functional? Does it have any audio in rca connectors?

If it does, then you would just connect a rca cable from your DStv's decoder (audio out) to your TEAC (audio in).

If your DVD and DSTV have audio out and your hifi has audio in then you can get an RCA switch to select between audio from the DVD player and DSTV. This assumes your two source devices (DVD and DSTV) have RCA audio output and your hifi has RCA audio input.

thanks guys, I'll take a look at the my setup tonight and try your suggestions.
I think I made a mistake earlier that the hifi has an audio out when it is actually an audio in.

My bad.

On that note .. anybody use pc speakers ( amplified Ofcourse I.e 2.1 ) to up sound on tv ? My lcd has the worst sound.. I want to use earphone jack as output . Any recommendations ?

What inputs does the 2.1 system have?
I'm talking about pc speakers. They don't have inputs . Just a 3.5mm jack that goes into " sound card" . But that's not the point . I know how to connect it.just wanna know who use a setup like this and what speakers to get. It a simple stereo setup in the kids room .no amps and
tv feed is coax. When a lekke number comes on trace I wanna crank it up but I can't with the little 10 watts in the tv.
