Vent owns all.
But In game voice is nice for the odd conversation and being in a group with mates. Remember Vent and TS needs a server![]()
+1 for Vent. However, you can host the server if necessary (not ideal, its best to have a dedicated machine).
One of our Guild members is running Ventrilo from his server. He's busy to upgrade it to Vent 3.0
Vent 3.0 you can change volume on your side for other players on the Vent channel. So if they are to load you just tune it down on your end
Vent is brilliant![]()
You braai with headsets on? Bizzare!
Anybody know what do we have to do to get a Vent server hosted in SA?
I don't want to be the one hosting the server, it will cause havoc with my BF2-time.Download the client, and hook it up to a machine you have spare. You need a website address/IP dedicated to it.

P.S. Is that how it works? One peep is the server?
the best thing of WOW is that we can talk in the game .otherwise WOW SUCKS
I've used Vent and the ingame and both seems fine. No choppyness or anything of the like.
I don't use it a lot as some of those Brits have a really bad acent that I find hard to understandlal
