Hi guys :)

Kindly refer here first http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showpost.php?p=2696405&postcount=9.

Well I thought that Vista may also have a bearing on the dloads so I installed XP on my laptop and the same thing happened with the dloads i.e. stopped @ 99%. So in utter desparation to get Windows 7 complete I installed my wife's Huawei modem and hey presto both files finished. I missed number 34, attempted the dload with neotel and it again stopped @ 99%. So with MTN's help again I finished that dload.

So it wasn't my OS or the dload manager but the connection. Any theories guys?

Well I've sent a PM to the Neotel rep and he says it's happening with a lot of the download managers, are you using one?

I noticed it when downloading many files at once. Even when I update my Vista or Mac computers through their update managers, they'd get to a % and then just stop.

It happended to me a lot with the Rapidshare manager too last week when downloading, even one file at a time, it'd just stop and I'd have to shut down Rapidshare manager and go back in..then the files would be broken. :/

Anyway, the Rep said that they've had multiple issues with this and looking in to it.

Hey Tsugaru,
Well It's sad that I bought IDM way back in '06 and I can't use it anymore. I used DAP and I stopped (far to busy program - to many ads). Just using FDM now and the 3G to complete the dloads I can't finish :(, which are not too many fortunately. I also tried the RS manager and encountered the same as you.

Otherwise no prolems with the service for now :)

I use LINUX and wget (console command). Having problems when downloading ISOs (Ubuntu distros). This is indicative of proxy servers going flaky. Even if I try a few days later it will stop at exactly the same spot.

Also have the problem with certain packages and its frustrating. Hope they resolve this soon.
