So I discovered an error on my credit report last week ; I 'have' an unpaid / very poorly paid Lewis account which is effecting my credit score hugely. I'm just about 'high risk' because this issue

I figured it'd be hell on earth to change and just wondered if anyone else has gone through the same process?

They want my ID, proof of address, affidavit, payslip, bank statements, 6 signature samples to prevent identity theft. This is going to take me hours to sort out :/

The thing is the person is paying slowly, so I feel it may just be an error rather than ID theft.

I just phoned Lewis and implied it happens from time to time and it's called an ID merge. They said they'll escalate it for me.

I just don't want to go through hours worth of work and costs, when a simple 'oh that ID isn't on our system' is all that is needed

You know what, you can just log a dispute with the relevant credit bureau, it's their problem to sort out.

I have.

They requested all the info above :(

Received this from Lewis, so hoping I don't need to submit all the documents!

Good day
