I don’t know how to explain this exactly
I have a wifi Hotspot at my parents’ house, I live next door to my parents and the Wifi connection just falls short, is there a amplifier or something I can install to increase the signal to my house?, or do I have to extend both ariel’s ?
Im searching for the cheapest and easiest solution possible?

Forgot to mention, i'm on 802.11g, will it make a diffrence if i use a 802.11n card in the pc, i tend to think it wont since the router is still G ?
will a repeater work? and how much do they cost?

Depending on the router, you can set the signal strength to a higher setting. Look through the router options.

Run a network cable.

@qwiksilver.... is that legal?

@OP read up on wifi security while you're at it...

Panel/Can antennas for some directional deliciousness,Wireless repeater,cables

Isn't that just for apple?, something like that would have been perfect :-), probaly costs a arm and a leg....

Nope, it's an Apple product, but works on any PC. Approx R850 give or take depending on where you buy.

i just had a closer look at it, it seems like this will replace your current router which is also not really what im looking for, a repeater will probably be the best, at Esquire they sell for +- R600 so it’s probably not that bad, but first im going to try the windsurfer :D

You can definitely use it as an extender or repeater, but I'm getting conflicting reports on whether you a need an Apple router as the base for it to work.

Get yourself a Picostation m2. It can be mounted outside and has POE, then just run a network cable to your ADSL modem. Also think about getting a stronger WLAN card/usb stick for your pc/laptop.
