Incredible Connection iPad(New)+Cellular

I would like to say thank you to incredible connection for honouring their mistake - bought the 64gb version+cellular for R6999 saving of R1200. They made a mistake(advertised it as the wifi price), finding the iPad will be a mission cos nobody has stock.


Here are the prices(all are Cellular version/4G)
16gig - R4999
32gig - R5999
64gig - R6999

I managed to exchange my Samsung 7" for the 16 gig Ipad yesterday, the only one in stock. Big up to IC.

Well I guess 99.99% of the people buying at IC are noobs (as are their employees), so they won't know the proper price for products as in most case they pay far to much. So I am sure with the new NCA it was is easy to argue that the price does not sound unreasonable and is just a good special. E.G it is not a misprint where they advertise an ipad for say R699,00 which is an obvious mistake. this does not look like an obvious mistake and could well have been a very plausible price.

If you check their twitter account they clearly state they will honor it untill the sale is over,managed to buy another 64gig today for a mate.. They had 15 in stock but immediately other branches placed an order, very happy to save R1200 cos I was about to buy the 64gig+3G iPad 2 for r5999 as an opening special at an istore. I also phoned a lot of stores in Joburg area and they all had stock of 16gig.. Seems each branch received 16 units of each.


I am assuming incredible connection aren't doing well and only way to attract people in their store is to do silly mistakes like this. So 16 iPads per store at r1200 loss each. We will never know their cost cos they buy in bulk. So a R20000 loss in profit is nothing but spoke to a consultant who told me its below cost already not sure how true that is
