Sold my inlaw a desktop computer with Windows 7 Starter edition on

Wife's cousin, I hardly speak to her.

Just gets my gut that shops would sell an os designed for netbooks on a desktop pc (ok the pc's specs are also really crap but anyway).

Windows 7 Starter is very cheap, that's why they use it - was that reflected in the price of the PC ?

I have W7 Home Premium on my netbook, wouldn't use W7 Starter even on that !

I got NFS Shift for PS3 @ R200 from IC this weekend. They're not all bad. :)

One of Incredible’s problems is their lack of staff training. This is something that needs to be improved quite a bit. I’ve often gone into one of their stores and asked sales reps some questions to see if they know their products.

It’s sad they 99% of the time they have no idea what I’m talking about; these aren't even hard questions.

On the plus side they do have some good specials at times.

IC is not bad when you know what you want. Probably more expensive compared to online shops but great if you're in a hurry & they sometimes have awesome specials.
You do however place yourself at the mercy of the salespeople when you walk in saying 'I want to buy a computer' without a clue about what you want.
Same as when buying a car, or anything else for that matter.
