Hey all,

Does anyone have or know where I could get a sample agreement to use for contracting IT work?

I've searched online but only found one for a hunting association...

Try looking for a service level agreement.

Then make sure the guy supplies his own equipment - regulates his own working hours - can delegate the work to someone else.

If you supply equipment, regulate the hours or demand that he is there himself then you can be viewed as an employer.
