Hi all,

My new rig has just arrived and I have done a search of the forum concerning my idea but not found suitable solutions.

The rig has vtx3d radeon 6870hd.

My idea is to output to my bx2450 and also output to my lcd in the next room via 10m hdmi cable. But I want to know if it is possible to run xbmc full screen on the lcd while still using the bx2450 for normal pc usage?

What OS?

Under Linux, it may be possible to operate the two outputs as separate heads rather than xinerama, in which case you should certainly be able to do what you propose. Look for "multi-seat" setups for more info.

run in windowed mode and stretch the window so it fills the whole screen, run all programs/games in windowed mode too.

running windows 7 ultimate 64bit.

Would it be possible to run a vm and set it to open automatically on the secondary display?

Thought about the windowed mode. If all else fail i will go this route.
