Indian Rupee numbering

So they write their numbers as Rs 1,00,00,000. I just couldn't get my head around this.

its a comma after the first three digits, then every two digits.

lakh = one hundred thousand

crore = 100 lakh = ten million


10 000 000 = 1,00,00,000 = 100 lakh = crore

i think thats right
