Is it true that you cannot apply for this service anymore ?

i also heard they took it off their website, but u can still apply for it

Has any one ordered it reacently? The reason i'm asking is cause I might need it again come november.

guys please look at the other threads in this section on infinitecall.

Two weeks ago i did a mock-order of infinitecall, and the telkom guy i spoke to was more than happy to give me the service when i asked.

If they refuse it to you, then hang up and dial again until you get another operator who will give it to you.

Please see other threads on this topic for more info.

Clayman, just do yourself a favour and protect yourself. Call Telkom and ask them what services you have on your phoneline. Take down the name (spell it right) of the person you speak to, as well as keep a record of the exact time you spoke to the person. Tell the Telkom person that you want a reference number to this conversation. Also tell them the reason you are calling.

Just in case Telkom turns around at the end of the month and charges you over R2200 for spending 4 weekends online, when it should have cost you about (infinitecall subscription) + R40.

Thats if you can stay connected! The b@stids disconnected me at least 2 - 3 times every w/end...

Syzgy78, first, take record of this to Telkom, and demand a refund. They will refuse you. Your next step is to call the regional manager. At this step, they will ooh and ahhh, and tell you that they are "doing tests" on your line (which they are not). In about three weeks time, Telkom will contact you and tell you that your line is fine and they will not be refunding you the cash.

Your next step is to escalate your complaint to the CEO's office. You'll get the same BS, "We've done extensive tests on your line, there is nothing wrong, it is your computer settings, it's your fault, etc etc". After this, you have one of two choices:

You can either:
A) Ask for an arbitration procedure (I don't knwo what the costs of this are) OR
B) Take your complaint, along with all your phone records of correspondance (times, dates, people spoken to) to ICASA. Write up a complaint to ICASA, and ask ICASA to decide on the matter.

I know that path B) has worked before. I have never heard of someone taking path A) before.

You can email me if you want to know more! That's if you want to have your problem sorted out. Alternatively, I suggest you search for the thread that advises people on how to prevent Infinitcall disconnections. There is some very useful information in that thread.
