Some of you might know my dad Dukey/Dukey1947 from BF2, BF3BC, BF4. He is a 72 year old, fun loving, straight shootin’ son of a gun, a regop Jakop, straighter than the tall palm tree an all an all. In short he would never hack nor could he. He thought incorrect Arma3 game mod files were the reason he could no longer log onto Arma3. His kids on looking into it have found this not to be the case.

So why post this here? Firstly I would like this to be a resource for those who are experiencing a similar problem. Secondly I would like this to be an online record of this case.

Dukey is on an Infistar ban list or white list. He is not on a Battleye ban list. I will include the Battleye links as a part of the process of elimination you will follow.

What did we see?

When attempting to log onto an ARMA 3 KOTH server:

“You were kicked off the game. (Battleye: Admin Kick (Player check not passed (vision client)))”

When attempting to log onto an ARMA 3 EXILE server:

“You were kicked off the game. (Battleye: Admin Ban ([email protected]))”

What to do?

First check your steam id against the battleye ban list here:

How to look up your steam id:

If you are on the Battleye ban list you can appeal the ban:

Good luck. Game hacker’s have evidently created a hostile environment for you. The online consensus is that you’re either a hacking liar or you’re stupid and have allowed a third party to gain access to your account. Either way if the ban is valid you lose.

So you’re not on the Battleye ban list. How to check against the Infistar ban list? There’s no online tool for this. If you scroll to the bottom of their web page you can see a discord link.

https://infistar.de/product/infistar-arma3

Follow the discord link to get onto their discord. Proceed to their #create-a-ticket channel. Type in “?new ban help”. You should then get an auto reply confirming that your ticket has been created. You then need to pay attention to the tickets channel.

It seems to be a rather informal procedure. In my case what must be an admin entered the channel. You need to supply your steam ID and username. The admin confirmed that Dukey is banned and that he has also tried to appeal once before (weird, we know nothing of this). A second guy popped in to ask why I was appealing the ban. If Dukey is capable of launching the game why doesn’t he appeal himself. A third guy threw a LOL to that witty quip. As I said. Quite informal. I of course missed all this and have replied today.

I will let you know how the appeal goes...

What is Infistar? Firstly, they're not the official Arma 3 anti cheat service. That would be Battleye. That doesn’t matter to you because their free option is very appealing to private individuals running public servers for fun. It would appear that most Arma 3 servers use Infistar or have access their ban list.

I would go for that. Game hackers are a pita!

Where there’s smoke there’s fire right? How did Dukey make this list? Why is he a blip on their radar? We’d love to know for sure.

We suspect that he annoyed a server admin. Possibly a kid, although adults these days…

This is the abbreviated version. Dukey was playing on an exile server, pvp. Some guy, we suspect a server admin, followed him in a chopper and shot at him. Dukey shot the chopper down. His base was then deleted at server reset. He rebuilt only to have his base deleted again. There was also some in game text interchange between himself and this guy. Dukey doesn’t use foul language. The dialogue was about his base being deleted as a form of admin abuse. Dukey then went feral. He hunted NPCs for rocket launchers and hoarded them in tents. He’s tenacious that way and he likes to spend a fair chunk of his spare time gaming. Once he had lots of “‘splodes” he tracked the guy down to his base and blew up all his toys.
