Influential U.S commentator fired for Muslim comments

Just another random common criminal then.

Yep, you see what I did there, I took religion out of the equasion. What exactly is the point of mentioning it all the time other than to demonise the 99.95% of followers who aren't terrorists.

Yes brilliant. Delude yourself the problem doesn't exist and it will go away.

Facts are facts. An Islamic extremist is a believer in an extreme version of Islam. That is what he is and that is what he must be labelled. That is not demonising the moderate majority.

Obviously you can't address a problem if you refuse to acknowledge there is one in the first place.

So what are the troops in Afghanistan doing? Fighting random "homicidal maniacs" lol

The Fort Hood shooter, and the Christmas day jockstrap bomber all claim to be devout Muslims, acting in line with the teachings of Islam and championed by prominent Imams, but hey, it's got nothing to do with religion.

I'm not denying they have an unhealthy devotion to their religion. But demonizing Islam is exactly what war mongers from both side want. The sooner the label is dropped the sooner the terrorist stop getting new members who feel they their religion is being persecuted. This would be path of much less resistance seeing how important faith is to these people.

And that'so BS Frankie, their teachings came from convoluted misinterpretations taught by terrorist groups.

But it won't go away. You can't solve a problem you won't acknowledge exists :erm:

So now the KKK can't be referred to as a white racist organization for fear of "demonizing" whites and hence driving up recruitment :o

You don't get it. It's isn't about it not being acknowledged but how it's being acknowledged. I'm pretty sure the tea p... I mean KKK are using the same tactic.

pfft "how" WTF. You just said it must not be acknowledged.....

Even though they kill in the name of that religion, they kill people of that religion by the thousands, it's clearly a problem with in that religion but nobody dare mention the name of that religion

So by your logic race must now also be removed from government security documents. Next time some KKK nut goes on a rampage nobody dare mention his race. You know so they don't offend members of the same race and drive recruitment up:erm:

Anyway still waiting for the PC term for who NATO is fighting in Afghanistan?

They are terrorists in my books. I don't consider the religion relevant.

The Pope's lack of action and allowing convicted priests to still practice sort of implies that he's okay with the idea or at least he'd rather stick his head in the sand.

Do you at least acknowledge that Muslim extremists make up a tiny percentage of the worlds Muslim population? The same way not all Catholic priests are pedophiles?

Sometimes it seems like you can't.

No problem with the link to religion in this case ?

They are paedophiles who happen to be Catholic priests, the same way these Taliban/Al Queda types are terrorists who happen to be Muslims.

You're one of those types that's enjoys flaming religious hatred aren't you?

So you don't think there is a problem within the catholic church regarding paedophiles.

Just the odd pedo who happens to be a priest :erm:

Correct, and not all priests are pedos right?

When the Taliban were fighting the American enemy-the Russians they were labeled freedom fighters and thus got support from the USA.Now that the Taliban are enemies of the US they are labeled terrorists and are called freedom fighters by enemies of the USA.How's that for irony.

Regardless, religion is a defining element of the Taliban.

I lol'd at this from wiki -

The Taliban have also been accused of being hypocritical, as intelligence picked up by Predator drones and other battlefield cameras is at odds with the notion that they are pious warriors of God. Thermal-imagery technology housed in a sniper rifle showed two Talibs in southern Afghanistan engaged in intimate relations with a donkey, and ground-surveillance footage recorded a Talib fighter gratifying himself with a cow.

:D
