HI

Is their any axxess 4 or 10mb users who can tell me how their speeds is peak and off-peak time, and how much can u download before ur throttled or whatever due FUP..?

Im with openweb for many years now, but i just have problems lately with them.

Thx for feedback in advance.

Interesting. Considering a move TO openweb now (if they send me a test account) but you dont seem to be happy?

I think that all the ISP's are crappy with their throttling, its just a case of who is the best of the worst.

Get 0.1mbps to 10mbps depending on network, mostly slow but I think Gtown internet has gotten worse since they added more clients to our DSLAM and it was already bad

Most home uncapped accounts are't made for daytime usage.

I'm on their 10Mb uncapped, day time speeds differ from about 200KB/s to full 1MB/s on P2P depending on their network usage, most other protocols run at full speed during the day. After hours everything goes full speed.

I generally use between 100GB and 200GB a month and I can't remember the last time I was managed as they call it.

ok grin , looks good

Great thing about them is it's a month to month account so if you aren't happy just cancel before the 25th and you won't have to pay for another month.

From https://www.axxess.co.za/terms.php

Should you not wish to continue with a monthly billed service you are required to complete the cancellation via the Customer Control Panel before the 25th of every month, alternatively an email may be sent to accounts@adsl.co.za from the email address provided when the sign up was completed requesting the cancellation before the 25th of every month.

If you sign up this month and cancel before 25 September your account will be cancelled by the end of this month. They don't do contracts, plus you can pay with your credit card, they don't force you to stick a debit order onto your bank account.
