any other helpfull info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks :)

First thing you need is a bit-torrent client. The most popular client is Azureus or Vuze as it is now known.

Seeders are people who have already downloaded the file and are sharing the file (uploaders). Leachers are people currently downloading the file. It is good netiquette to have a 1:1 share ratio. For example, say you have downloaded a 100MB file, continue seeding (sharing/uploading) until you have uploaded 100MB.

Be warned that it will eat through your cap pretty quickly. There are many torrent sites where you can download just about anything. Remember though that it is illegal to download/upload certain content and the music/movie studios are actively hunting people down and sending lawyers letters to their ISP's. Their is plugin for Azureus/Vuze called "Safe Peer" that blocks these companies from gathering enough information to prosecute you.

Remember to run a virus scan on all files you download!
