Hi all

Just a bit of information when sizing inverter I do have example here.

Look at attached graph at 12:35 I used more then 5000W on a 5000W inverter.

What happened I needed to draw from Esdom to make up demand supply. Lesson learned.
At that given point I used Microwave, Kettle and Airfryrer they accumulated more then my maximum 5000 on my inverter.
Not that this causes a problem. The unit is fine for my usage means we need to be more disciplined when we use our equipment.
You just cant switch on things they all add up to the bottom line. :X3:

Before evey one screams you should have bought one size up!!

It is called passthrough and is a common feature. It can obviously only do that when AC is available, it will trip when no AC is available.

I talk under correction here, but I think the maximum load that can be provided by your inverter is 35A, go over that and it will trip even with AC available.

Didn't the installer tell you this?

Yeah. He has quite a bit of room to get to the 35A/8kW the inverter can handle

This is the reason we went 8kw don't have to worry just carry on as usual.

5kw means you have to police your usage

For my current use the 5000W inverter works for me. Need to be more careful going forward.
As others have mentioned thwre is a pass through.

But it's not great to run over 5kw all the time.

Did not trip. Just complemented and added extra power. Was a nice exercise that is why I posted this.
