Anyone have experience with Toyota firmware updates of the Infotainment system/HUD?

I have a Starlet that's 1 year old and Toyota ZA website has just about 0 info regarding firmware updates.

If its 1 yr old Toyota should definately be able to advise if there's a firmware update. you might need to try more than one dealer. i was lucky to have android auto retro updated into my renault at 6 yrs old as the right dealer could do it.

Late response, but I had the same issue when trying to find out more information. Looks like the 2023 model (facelift) makes use of the "global infotainment system" - https://www.global-infotainment-system-toyota.com/en/software-update/index.html

You can check in the above link if the ui looks the same. I could be wrong, but I think the partnered suzuki's use the same one (baleno for example).

Hope this helps.

So wait, the starlet has a more modern infotainment system than the Corrola Quest ?

I wanted a sedan after I wrote off my W204 C200K. Sedans these days are sh*t.

Yes, I looked at the Quest. It was crap.

5.6l/100km (from like 16 on the clock, vs like 67K right now) on the Starlet.

Nobody gives a sh*t about sedans anymore.

Edit: Yes I confused liters an kilometres. My bad.
