Inside a R9.7-billion hydrogen-powered superyacht

The Guardian reported that the Microsoft founder Bill Gates has commissioned a R9.7 billion ($644 million) hydrogen-powered superyacht, complete with an infinity pool, helipad, spa, and gym.

However, Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, which is behind the hydrogen-powered superyacht, denied that Gates has purchased the vessel.

So fake news, which a lot of blogs just reposted without checking the facts.

Could this not be a marketing stunt by Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design?

They are getting a lot of free advertising now.

I remember a saying from a movie: “What can you do with two billion that you can’t do with one?
Lots.

Ja, but they made it clear, they are not affiliated with him(that we know of). Just proofs there might be more people richer than gates, that we don't know about. Ones that frequent Monaco.

Ofcourse there is, and that list includes a handful of South Africans as well.

I always question the sensibility of putting that much money into something that floats...

Can't mybb members pitch together and buy this?
We can take turns using it?
:p
