Eskom promised to limit load-shedding from September 2021, but what followed was the worst blackouts the country has ever seen. Here is what is happening.

A toxic mix of poor maintenance, a lack of skills, a shortage of spares, and poor leadership with the wrong people in critical positions are behind the worsening load-shedding in South Africa.

There's also political interference, on a number of levels.
