We need more tech companies like this in SA.

Does Mustek export PC's, or is this only for our domestic market?
 
That explains why mustek quality has turned to dog crap over the years, mustek products don't last like try used to, bad investment for your business if u using anything mustcrap

Mustek is just rebranding existing products.
 
No mustek, crap monitors, desktops,what ever they buy and put their name on is crap, at one stage motherboards they used in workstation builds very unreliable , low end Foxconn products if i remember correctly, i Remember IT technician clearly staying away from mustek,

You confusing yourself, mercer, mustek is what im talking about, gigabyte motherboards will outlast any of musteks rebranded builds, stay away from mustek it you want reliability, i used to always bang mercer monitor at back to get it to work, while everyone at office using Samsung monitor
 
Whatever mustek mercer dog crap buy and rebrand at the end of the day its mustek product, and if you own office with 20 pc's, u stay away from mustek, the IT guy buys components and assembles workstations similar to mustek but his systems are million times more reliable, ask any good IT technician and any good 1 will tell u stay away from mustcrap

Foxconn low end any thing but. They are the largest employer in the world, as well as the largest electronic manufacture and the 4 the largest ITC company based on revenue.

Playstation 3, Ipad, Iphone, playstation 4, xbox one, xbox360 are just some of the things they have manufactured.
Foxconn motherboards are about the same as the rest of the market, Nothing wrong with mecer and the "IT technician" needs to be fired or dropped on it's head.

All 3rd Party system builders screw up at some point by adding crappy secondary system components that blames every thing on foxconn as the person responsible.

Motherboard failure rates are about the same, whether PC and Chips or ECS, Gigabyte or Asus.You wouldn't be making Playstation 4 if you manufacture "low end crap" as you put it.

Foxconn produces products according to budgets, can produce R20000 iPhone or R4000 ps4 even cheap mustek motherboard, u need to be dropped on your head, why the banking sector and some government departments are using dell pc's now, mustek, mecer were good in very old days now its dog crap,

You fail to grasp the concept of blaming foxconn because a 3rd party(mustek) decided it be appropriate to pair hardware with crappy components, not the fault of foxconn. Since motherboards moved over to solid capacitors, removal of the north bridge on the Intel platform, pretty much have exclusive use of intel chipsets.There is not significant quality differences between major motherboard manufactures, so don't talk kak.There isn't any thing like low end kak any more.

Motherboards with specific chipsets have pretty the same price, this "low end" carp to put simple is utter BS. Mustek is causing the kak with pairing it with budget additional components, shitty case design, cheap fans.Failure point is else where.


FYI foxconn as of 2009 manafactured dell computers, there is that as well, and if you still want to argue, read up on failures rates of motherboards since the move to solid capacitors and intel chipsets. Logically think about why would foxconn purposely jeopardize its business with apple and dell and what not, and sell inferior electronics else where.

You don't see samsung or LG sell inferior or shitty panels to other manufactures, so why the hell would foxconn.Drop the IT technician on it's head.

Mecer is perfectly fine with some products, it's some times just a rebrand of the same LG product in a different shell.There is a very good reason why dells are used, onsite support and overall business support are top notch.

Don't blame foxconn actually blame the shitty 3rd party.
 
Mustek to blame, every four years replace desktops but even before the 4th year mustek mercer craptek has endless problems across many different workstations, standard mustek stock items,dell keeps On going even if the buget is limited and u miss an upgrade, year 8 dell is still going and going, problem Free, same network same IT technicians,im finding it difficult to believe you because i see it in the real world, comparing the different brands dell and few other brands puts mustcrap to shame, profits before quality isnt thats what South African companies are all about, dstv, vodacom, mtn, eskom, mustcrap, dell machine will outlast any mecer computer anytime many times over! In the real world, experienced it during many years over!

LOL, my 10yr old Mecer i5 system (R10 000.00 back then) has outlasted 2 of my brother in-laws R20 000 Dell machines.

And as far as i am aware, Mecer monitors are rebranded LG screens.

Why ? There are only so many panel makers, dell monitors have either a samsung or LG panels is some cases BENQ,
The only thing dell does is make the casing for the panel. It's based on a LG or Samsung monitor with custom firmware. If you buy dell you have more money then smarts....Yes dell has great after market support, but they are no different to any other brand out there often sporting same hardware configurations.They have a great marketing team.That is about it.

Mecer at it's best isn't any less reliable then dell. If you believe otherwise just because it's a South African company you deserved to get ripped off by dell, period.No one mentioned Sahara branded desktops and laptops yet ?

I am sure some one will find issue with them as well.
