Install Orange Box without internet connection

you HAVE to have an internet connection

otherwise get a fake one to play since you already purchased a legit

Nope, that wont work.

You cant avoid the internet connection unless you go more illegal routes.

Best action: Get a friend to make backups of the games via steams backup. Restore those backups on your own PC (this makes it so you dont have to download any content). Then hook your PC to a friends/works connection, connect up, let it decrypt the files, set steam to offline mode. disconnect from internet, test if games work. Done.

Not true. You can quite easily use one of many Steam emulators out there. Can't recall the one I used last time, but I'm sure google-ing "Steam emulator" would lead you to the right place ;)

Okay found something called SteamEmu. Not at my PC now, but is it relatively easy to use?

While I'm on the topic, will I be able to play BioShock and Crysis without an internet connection?

Crysis should be fine without internet connection. Bioshock needs an internet connection, last time I checked, you need a connection to uninstall it to (keeps track of how many times it's been installed)

Last I looked (a while ago mind you) SteamEmu had not been updated to support all of the Orange Box games. Trying to recall what I used....will post it when I get home.

Fair enough. I reckon it's more of a grey area though that outright illegal though (assuming of course you own an original copy of Orange Box) :D
