install the k3520 on Ubuntu9 .10.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to install the k3520 on Ubuntu9 .10.

please help help help

if you are going to use linux. here is some advice that will help you along:

1. most people who use it made a choice to use it
2. most people who continued to use it, made an effort to use it. and they generally document their efforts to solve problems.

point 2 says, Linux was not built to take over windows. It also says that it is most likely you are not the first person to have the problem. it can happen. but not too often.

The essay goes to say that be careful how you post your questions. They should generally show that you have made an effort to solve the issue you have.

That being said. I do not have your k3520. But google has this to say - http://www.google.co.za/search?hl=e...d=1&ved=0CCoQBSgA&q=k3520+Ubuntu+9.10&spell=1

have you tried the solutions?

I know that bug I posted was for UNR, but it seems that it is related system wide across all platforms:

http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8203462

And it seems like you just have to:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Reboot.
Issue the command uname -a to make sure you have the correct kernel:
Linux wife-desktop 2.6.31-15-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 10 14:53:52 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Now try again to use the modem.

If this doesn't work you need to follow and try some of the fixes in this thread:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1305931

But I would like to second what milomak has said, you have to learn to use Google, it will make Linux painless (well almost).
