Here is something interesting, an installer that lets you install Ubuntu onto your Android device:

Those of you running a rooted Android may be pleased to learn of Ubuntu Installer, a Market app which - yes, you’ve guessed it - installs Ubuntu. Even for the unseasoned tinkerer, it’s pretty simple to install – providing you check for the compatibility of your device/ ROM in advance.

Anyone want to give this a go?
:D

If for nothing else just curiosity.

But I'll pass on Ubuntu, not my cup of coffee and yes, I would probably revert back to Android within a few minutes.
:(

It doesn't seem so, just checking if my device is supported and then I'll give it a quick try, hang on a minute.

When it comes to Linux on my phone, I prefer Android. :)

Is there proper driver support for ARM and Mali chipsets in this flavor of Ubuntu for the Galaxy S2?

Im half way through the install. Never rooted my samsung before, so had to do that first. Now extracting the files :D Hope it works, haha

Okay, its installed. Pity its not using the unity gui, its better suited for this.
