Can anyone tell me what the fee is webafrica will charge if the 12 months haven't yet lapsed?

If you cancel within 12 months of activating your Fibre, you will be liable for any installation and/or connection fees which Webafrica subsidised when you ordere

You will pay the full connection fee (depends on the network, Vuma, Octotel and OpenServe it was around R1700), then usually it's a portion of the router and installation fee.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to our team.

Should you cancel your service within the first 12 months of the service being active. The installation fees and connection fees will be charged to your profile.

Please see the product terms and conditions -

Gawd your service is pathetic. No response to mails, no proper response here. Your WhatsApp chat also stays unanswered.

Guess I'll just cancel the debit order, order a new line with another provider and burn your farking ONT.

Leave the ONT alone, it's not your property, it belongs to the fiber provider.

Then next month they'll debit your account for R1999 for the cost of the router plus the cancellation fee, and there is noway to dispute it because Webafrica support is uncontactable.

Just stop the debit order from your bank's side.

In theory yes, but if you bank with FNB the first thing they ask you is if you authorised the debit orders. If yes then they tell you to take it up with the company who is putting through the debit order. They will not just stopit.

This was my experience with trying to stop a debit order from Vodacom. You will find the same complaint on hellopeter over and over. They are not helpful. When the debit order goes off you have to pay R40 to reverse it but only after you provide documentation to show that you cancelled the service. Then guess what, next month the debit went off again despite requesting the stop payment.

You can reverse the debit order on the app
