Ok guys put on your brain-caps. I got COD5 and installed it. I installed all patches up to 1.5 (I still have 1.6 and 1.7 to go). Before 1.5 finishes I get a message that says "1628 Failed to Complete Installation". So I downloaded the patch from another source, same issue. So I did it from a third and I still get the same issue. So I thought I would try to open the game itself and when I did my screen went black. Everything froze so I did a hard-reboot (unplugged) and tried to install again (my 4th try) and got the same message.
All other patches went fine, so do you have any idea why 1.5 doesn't install? I also thought I could circumvent that and go directly to 1.6 and of course my pc said "no way dude, get 1.5 on there first" (not in those terms mind you, although I would appreciate a pc that actually talked like that).
I don't want to uninstall and start over. There must be some answer without going through all that again.
