Installation speed record?

Well I have to say i am SHOCKED!!!

Helped a friend out with deciding whether to get ADSL, he ordered it last wednesday on the phone...

We requested that it be self install...

Amazingly this morning, only 9days later at 8am he gets a call saying your adsl is activated...

WELL DONE TELKOM Durban North!

Only thing that pisses me off is his "192kbps" line recorded 290kpbs on speed test whilst im getting 155kbps *tear*

I placed an order for an ADSL line with Telkom, installation by them, in Sea Point, Cape Town. (about 2 weeks ago)

They phoned to say that they would install it 3 days later!

They arrived on the morning, took 30 min to move one or two phone points, and BANG... it was done.

I could NOT believe it, especially after it took then about a month for another client just down the road.

Again, Telkom amazes me just about everyday. Sometimes good, other times bad.

Ordered ADSL for my parents 4 months ago and still nothing!!!
Tried calling them a million times and each person has a different excuse.
