Hi there,

do you also need a twin lnb if you have a multiswitch for your HD PVR 2P? Or can you use a single LNB and run one cable from the dish to the multiswitch and from the multiswitch two cables into your HD PVR 2P decoder?

The thing is some of the channels does not want to work, normal channels and HD channels.

Regards

If I understand correctly, DSTV signal is broadcast on two polarisations (vertical & horizontal). A single LNB can only receive one polarisation at a time so you're stuck on either vertical or horizontal channels. In order to access both you'll need a dual LNB or SatCr

That's because you need two cables coming from the dish. ONe channel carries the channels on the vertical frequency and the other the channels on the horiszontal.

If you switch the cable to the other multiswitch input, every time you are missing a channel, the missing channel will come on :D

Otherwise, get a twin LNB!

That's like pumping the brake pedal of your 80's car really fast and telling people your car has ABS :D

I use a 5-2400Mhz splitter with a DC pass on a single cable and it works perfectly with recording,HD,TV guide etc.

Really? Watch a little MNet and record a bit of BBC Knowledge at the same time... Now play back the BBC K recording... Does it work perfectly?
