Howsit guys, got myself a 7" tablet from china, and it doesnt have the android market place on it. Its running ICS and i cant figure out how to install this thing, do i need to root my device as XDA Developers say, has anyone downloaded it? I thought it would be as easy as hitting a website, grabbing and APK and hitting go, it doesn't seem so :(

any ideas?

I think the device needs to be certified to be able to access the market, never tried installing it on a none certified device.

You can try this old Market APK I had

If that fails, only thing I can suggest is Appbrain or Getjar.

PS: Check out the free Apps in the Getjar Gold promotion regardless if you get Android Play working or not

Awesome, got Appbrain setup and it installs the apps with the crazy chinese software that came with the device, so i now have my Kindle app :)

Tx elimentals. I will check out getjar aswell, its not ideal but i will manage :)
