Not sure if anyone here has experience with working with Android-X86.
Basically, I have a spare Gigabyte S1080 and by all the information I can see on the net, it is compatible with android (the information is based on marketing info released and on one persons Google Groups post). What I did was install a version I downloaded from this site: http://www.android-x86.org/download
I downloaded the android-x86-2.2-generic.iso version. When I clicked on the link to download it, it did say depreciated. Im not sure what version is best for this tablet pc. When I boot off the usb disk (its a live install), everything goes well. Except when I am in the install... when the screen is locked, it flashes all the time, the touchpad and none of the keys work. Only the mouse attached the screen works (am able to unlock the tablet and browse around).
Any ideas on how to get it working with the touch screen or what version I should use?
