Hello

About installing a new version of Dash - this being a clean install. No previous versions of Dash installed on system (Win XP Home)

Do I need to go through all of the steps outlined below ?

* Select the file and choose save. Save the file to a folder of your choice.
* Select the folder where you have saved the file and unzip the file to the same folder. This can be done by “right clicking” on the file and select extract all.
* Remove your data card from your notebook (use the Windows “Safely Remove Hardware” option)
* Remove the SIM from the data card
* Re-insert the data card into the notebook
* Ensure that the Vodafone Mobile Connect software application is not running. Exit the application if it is running
* Run the setup.exe file in the folder where the download was saved
* Upon successful completion of the firmware upgrade, remove the data card from the notebook (use the Windows “Safely Remove Hardware” option)
* Re-insert the SIM card into the data card
* Re-insert the data card into the notebook
* Open the Vodafone Mobile Connect software application

I'm going to use the Merlin U740 . Excuse the noobish questions (One has to learn somewhere :) )

Thanks

Those instructions appear to mostly relate to doing a firmware update, if you're just upgrading the VMC dashboard, then uninstall any existing VMC version, reboot, and install the new VMC version.
