Help Needed: Installing Nvidia 331 beta driver in Linux Mint 15 KDE

If anyone got it working, can you post the detailed instructions here.
I can only get the default 304 drivers to work and have tried over 20 different websites listing installing tips for Nvidia drivers.

your cause would be greatly helped if you posted what error messages you get

you and i have different kit so my telling you that it works on my rig helps no-one

this also raises the question - why do you want the beta driver?

It says 'no screens found', an xserver error and boots to the terminal.
This is on Linux Mint KDE 15, 32 bit.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg - doesn't work
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg - after removing and reinstalling it, it doesn't make a difference.

sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf - removes the problem file but
sudo nvidia-xconfig - doesn't create a workable xconfig file, still says no screens found, couldn't start xserver when you run sudo kdm/mdm.

i want to run the beta drivers, because there are so many improvements since the stable drivers.
The beta Windows drivers work 100% correct in Windows 8. Maybe I should just wait for Wayland support, so that all this xserver errors won't occur.

Not knowing what is causing the problem will not make the problem go away after a while. It could be something simple.

I hate working on Ubuntu base distros since they have their own way of doing things, but start with:
Code:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep EE
Paste the output here.
