Trying to gauge which payment providers to use.
Thanks!

Just in general.
Trying to figure out how people prefer to pay for things.
I'm not a fan of instant EFT, want to see how others feel about it

I used to mainly use Ozow and PayFast's facilitations with some direct bank-to-bank EFT's where possible, but I've since moved on to taking out a debit card used purely for online purchases as it's more convenient and works in more places + internationally.

There's also a security and peace of mind incentive to avoid Instant EFT facilitators as *IF* some fraud where to happen to your account, the fact that you used any of these services even once on a particular account is enough to warrant throwing out your case.

Both, they serve different needs.

When I did integration into iPay for a large e-commerce company, there was no cannibalisation of card payments as we dropped traditional EFT.

I don't like card payments when my card details get stored, and I don't like how the banks get pissy with instant EFT.

I will only use Ozow (iPay) for instant EFT and reputable payment gateways for my card.

I'm just finding the payment providers that I've looked at so far are so clunky.
Looked at paygate, and peach. They are both using SOAP.
Wish stripe was available in South Africa

Nothing wrong with soap as people overcomplicate payment gateway integration. It's a single step in handling payments and handling SOAP even in PHP is a breeze.
