Insulin spike for creatine

Dextrose powder can be found at all chemists and even some supermarket and watch out when messing around with your metabolic systems including endocrine for the sake of "guns" You will regret it in the future

No dextrose in Dischem/clicks or game - warning heeded but you never answered the question

You don't need to spike your insulin for creatine to be effective or more effective than usual.

If your muscles are saturated with creatine, it will use it irregardless of what excuse you want to eat jelly babies.

Creatine is naturally synthesized in the liver and normal everyday people produce enough to get them by, however bodybuilders can benefit from an increased supply of creatine in the muscles.

The creatine is at most going to give you a 5% boost.

Any other questions I'd be happy to answer them, creatine is the supplement I know the most about.

Don't use Creatine Ethyl Ester, it's not any more effective than Creatine Monohydrate - supplement companies try to market it as much better than normal Monohydrate and therefor increase the price drastically. The same applies to isolate.

To expand a bit, all creatine does is give you more Adenosine Triphosphate, can't exactly remember the process that happens, but it does bind with water molecules sitting outside the cell - hence why it's recommended you drink 2.5l of water a day while on it.

Now, adenosine triphoposphate is like your bodies energy cells and it helps with Lactic Acid build up.

Lactic Acid build up is what causes fatigue - why it gets harder to lift the same amount of weight with each repetition.

So at most, creatine will give you 10 reps where you usually had 8.

And this is possibly the most effective supplement out there. Heh. Makes you wonder what all the other **** does.

Informative post, thanks swag- better up my water intake I am only on about a litre and a half now

Use glucose. Dextrose and glucose although not the same are direct substitutes of each other.

Medically we just substitute them if one is out of stock.

The glycemic index or GI for short important concept? because it reflects how quickly digested carbohydrates and, as a result, increased levels of glucose and insulin in the blood. GM does not depend on the type of carbohydrates (simple or complex). GI reflects the increase in blood sugar levels caused by the ingestion of certain food intake. Foods with a high glycemic index are quickly absorbed and cause a rapid increase in blood sugar levels.

It amazes me how all these products come out advertised as greater than mono, people buy into it... And then months later mono comes out tops again.

Can we try get someone to actually comment on the possibility of game causing a sufficient spike?
Although I appreciate the additional info

Although swag view of it not being needed is interesting - I guess saturation would then just take longer

Monohydrate is Monohydrate...I know some of the brands advertise "micronized" seems to be the latest buzz work...

And SSN products are top notch...cannot go wrong.

As for using Game - sure, why not. Won't be as effective as dextrose, but will still boost your sugar and insulin response.

Tried dischem clicks and Game - will prob order online - so long I'll just use the 6 packs of game I bought lol

Isn't that 20%, not 5?

heh

got me on that

It's just an example, some muscles respond better to 10-15 reps (assuming you want hypertrophy and not strength) Like the lateral head of the deltoid we recommend 10-15 reps because they movement is fairly short so there's less time under tension.

I know I respond well to it, I can feel when I'm not taking it and when I am, when I am, I can do slightly heavier weights for more reps...
