Insurance + Accident

Does anyone here have experience or opinion on Alexander Forbes?
Looks like I should try mutual and federal out.

Been with Alexander Forbes for 18 years. Every time we buy a new car, phone around, no-one can beat the premiums we get. No squabbling, no fuss, no worries about non cover, ever. Business, home and vehicles are all insured through them.

Alexander Forbes is a bit odd. They provide insurance, or act as a broker for other insurance companies. Can't really comment on the claims.

Alex Forbes (Marsh) have binder agreements and therefore issue policies and settle claims on behalf of the insurers, insurers being a few not just one.

I was paying R 540-00 a month to OUTSURANCE on a 2005 Tata Indica 1.4 LSi - which I thought was a rip-off.

I did a web search & found Prime Meridian - http://primemeridian.co.za/motor_cover.php - and they are covering me for a FAR BETTER premium of R 359-00 (which INCLUDES roadside assist & Scratch & Dent repair, Car Hire, and NO EXCESS payment.)

OUTSURANCE tried to convince me to stay with a 30 minute phone call, but were unable to match the premium and benefits from Prime Meridian, and OUTSURANCE have also NOT given me the R 200 cash back payment they promise in their adverts either!
