Insurance Question

I sued a builder a while back, successfully but did not recover any monies however I did blacken his name and had his NHBRC certificate revoked. He sent 3 guys to threaten me at my workplace but I showed the .357 reasons to run. Laid charges at the cops twice, no result. I have found out from other people suing him that the same tactics are being employed including the call with heavy breathing. A few months ago he started making threats and within a few days my business was broken into twice but nothing of value was taken. I have added a second armed response company but every weekend there is damage done to my premises, I own the building, but never enough to warrant an insurance claim. I have informed my broker of every incident so far. My concern is the pig blames me for his business going down even though I am one of about 2 dozen people suing him but I am the only successful one so far and my fear is that he would try and harm my business in some more permanent way. I have informed my Broker of the new threats should I inform the my insurance company directly?

Proper surveillance, get the b*****d on camera and lay criminal, not just civil, charges against him.

However, I wouldn't inform your insurance company until you make a claim. Why would you want to, all they might do is hike your premiums - premiums you agreed upon before these incidents began - or cancel your insurance. You are under no obligation and they cannot refuse your claim as it doesn't violate anything in your insurance agreement.

Would love but he has a real Shyster for an Attorney, the type with snakeskin shoes. Absa and at least one other bank tried to have him struck from the Attorneys Roll before. They quick to sue. The two of them are also house hijackers. He leases properties and after 2nd month doesnt pay. Then his shyster keeps him in the place for at least 2 years with one frivolous application after another. The advocate that acted for me coincidentally acted for previous person. They did not pay rentals for a year and had the gall to approach the High Court to sequestrate the Landlord till the judge chased them out of his court.

Ass has threatened my family before hence I wanted to shoot his henchmen. Like I said a coward.
BTW i spoke to my Broker, he says no need to inform insurance. Advised me its very common and the cops sell info to these guys anyway as a client had his house Petrol bombed after reporting a Dealer. Info came from Cop Shop.
