something somewhere seems dead slow

http i can get full speeds but anything else - usual geenkom speeds.

me too, on my IS local account for international torrents :p
i aint complaining though...but damn it stopped now :(

Isn't it just IS shaping P2P now? Since the beginning of the month P2P has been dreadfully slow during the day on both torrent and eMule

I got two Openweb accounts and both of them crawling on giganews... (got a second one just to make sure) local 10 kbps and international 60kbps(max) and less... When I use a Nexus account I get a full whoping 420kbps and more :} So I assume it points to IS shaping news/p2p and torrents ?

if so a nice email from my isp would do to explain IS's new shaping rules.

i see that HTTP/FTP and binaries from newshosting are fine, stuff like IGN's downloader max out at 10KBps and average around 4-5KBps - not to sure if that $$'s i spend on my membership is worth it now at this rate of modem speeds.

using IGN's downloader
Saix unshaped --> maxed out
Saix shaped --> maxed out
IS --> 5KBps

there we have it now - nice IS surprise for August...
