Int. vs Local Dedicated server hosting

I was doing a price comparrison between my local hosting, and my international.

I can get a full 64Bit, 2GB Ram, 120GB sata and 4TB of bandwidth for under R500 at my international host.

If my calculations are correct, that would cost me R280 000 (just for the bandwidth) if I hosted it here in SA.

And telkom have the grace to call us unpatriotic !

I also host overseas - the closet quote i got from an SA company was in excess of 12 k / month and it was still missing some vital bits and pieces i required !

Unless you are a Corporate with a massive cheque book, forget local ded server hosting.
