Anyone know of a good hosting local provider I can get away with hosting something i need on a dedicated server (or really big VPS). It will be pushing around 6TB a month, mostly mixed traffic. I don't need high spec, but definitely 2TB storage at least. Its not a business project i.e not making money from it, but i will sponsor the cost myself.

There are a few providers advertising dedicated servers in my price range, but they all have the dreaded "uncapped subject to AUP" part which means, as one of them says, that after like 500GB they are going to throttle you into eternity or send you warning hate mail...

6TB of traffic per month isn’t really that much on a VPS tbh but your storage requirements are going to be pricey unless you can find a host with spinning disks

Our Baremetal servers start from R1499 (10C / 64Gb Ram + 2x 960GB SSD) or R1999 with 2x 960GB NVMe.

AUP only enforced from 10TB onwards (Does not apply to peered traffic)

If IOPS are not a concern, our Storage Optimised VPS would be a cost-effective option. DM for a promo code if you would like to evaluate it at no cost.

Both are available in either CPT or JHB with 100GB Peering at all INX points 💪
